Specialty Coffee Paris (“we”, “us”) operates the website at specialtycoffee.paris and the Specialty Coffee Paris mobile app (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what data we handle and why. We keep it simple: we do not require an account, we do not sell your data, and we collect as little as possible.

Information we handle

Location

If you choose to share your location, the app uses it to find coffee shops near you and to sort results by distance. Your location is used on your device to build the request and is never stored on our servers or linked to your identity. You can decline location access and still use the app; you simply won’t see distance-based results. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings.

Favorites and preferences

Shops you save as favorites are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to us and are removed when you delete the app.

Diagnostics

The mobile app uses Expo’s built-in diagnostics to collect anonymous, aggregated crash and performance information. This helps us fix bugs and improve stability. It is technical in nature and is not used to identify you.

Server logs

Like most websites and APIs, our servers automatically record standard technical information (such as IP address, device type, and the pages or endpoints requested) for security and to keep the Service running. These logs are retained for a limited period.

Third-party services

We rely on third parties to operate the Service, including hosting and content delivery providers, and Google for shop information such as ratings and place details. Shop pages may link out to Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, or a shop’s own website; once you follow those links, the privacy policy of the destination applies.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You control location access through your device settings and can clear locally stored data by deleting the app. Because we do not maintain user accounts or store personal profiles, there is no account data for us to export or erase.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
