Specialty coffee in the 5^th arrondissement

Home to the Sorbonne, the Panthéon and the Jardin des Plantes, the 5th is steeped in academic history. That student and faculty population keeps cafés busy from early morning, and the arrondissement’s specialty spots lean studious — quiet rooms, good filter coffee and space to read. It’s an easy place to swap a tourist café near the river for a far better cup a couple of streets inland.
